Kathmandu-Hetauda tunnel: Bhatta quits

The chairman of Nepal Purwadhar Bikash Company Limited, an entity which holds the government licence to construct the Kathmandu-Hetauda highway (dubbed as the  ‘Tunnel Highway’), Bhaban Bhatta, has tendered his resignation.

Bhatta, a businessman based in Japan was elected chairman of the company in January this year. In his resignation letter, he said he was caught up with his business in Japan and would have no time for company based in Nepal.

Lalkrishna KC has been appointed new chairman of the company by its board. KC told Onlinekhabar, “The board has approved Bhatta’s resignation and appointed me the new chairman.”
