Kamal Thapa, Pashupati Samsher Rana join hands to revive RPP

Kathmandu, November 21

The Kamal Thapa-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal and Pashupati Samsher Rana-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party announced their unification amid a programme in the capital on Monday.

The new party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, has Kamal Thapa as its chief executive and Pashupati Samsher as its national president. Senior leaders Lokendra Bahadur Chand, Biswabandhu Thapa and Prakash Chandra Lohani have also backed the move.

Addressing the party’s rank and file, party leaders said RPP will soon emerge as a major political party in the country. The new party’s chief executive Kamal Thapa said the party would transform itself into an entity that the country can trust and one that can guide the country forward.

Rana said the new party will strive to make Nepal a Hindu state.
