Kamal Thapa becomes leader of RPP Parliamentary Party, Dipak Bohora clinches deputy’s position

Kathmandu, November 27

The recently- unified Rastriya Prajatantra Party on Sunday unanimously elected party President Kamal Thapa as the leader of the party’s Parliamentary Party. It elected Dipak Bohora as the deputy leader of its parliamentary party.

RPP and RPP- Nepal merged recently, naming the unified party Rastriya Prajatantra Party. The unified party had held its PP meeting at Singhadurbar on Sunday to elect the PP leadership. At the meeting, Bohora, erstwhile leader of RPP PP, proposed Thapa as PP leader. Before the merger, Thapa was leader of RPP-Nepal’s PP. Thapa proposed Bohora as deputy PP leader, lawmakers unanimously voted in his favour.

The unified party has 37 seats in the Parliament.

The party has formed a four-member committee under lawmaker Bikram Pandey to amend the statute of its PP.
