Kathmandu, August 16
Nepal’s commercially successful film Oonko Sweater will get a second instalment. The announcement was made at the INFA International Nepali Film Award ceremony.
The title has been set as Kaleji Oonko Sweater. The film, which is targeting a 2027 release, is set to begin filming after Dashain.
Written and directed by Nabin Chauhan, the film has confirmed the return of lead actors Bipin Karki and Miruna Magar. Alongside them, Alex Bishwakarma and Parikshya Limbu will also star.
It was announced on the occasion that Indian actor Piyush Mishra will also appear in the film. According to the Film Development Board’s box office records, Oonko Sweater grossed NPR 106.2 million in Nepal.
