Janakpurdham, August 23

The management of Janakpur-based Janaki Medical College Teaching Hospital and agitating students have reached a six-point understanding.

After the deal, the management has resumed the college’s curricular activities and the teaching hospital’s health services.

The college administration informed that the two sides agreed on ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the college hostel, providing adequate salary and residences to students on internship and arranging monitoring visits for medical science students as per Education Regulations, among others.

The college’s MBBS students had launched an agitation against the college management pointing that negligence on its part had affected them. MBBS students have accused Ratish Chandra Lal Karna (Suman), the new executive chief of the college, of not bothering about teaching-learning activities.

Suman, college Principal Hukum Dev Sah, Dharma Dutta Subedi and agitating students had held talks in a bid to address the situation.
