Indra Jatra pole brought to Bhaktapur from Kavre’s Nala forest

A tree to be used as the ceremonial pole for Indra Jatra has been brought to Bhaktapur from the Nala forest in Kavrepalanchok.

The tree was cut down in the Nala forest and transported to Bhaktapur for use as the lingo, a ceremonial pole erected during Indra Jatra.

The pole was dragged from Nala forest to Bhaktapur. The procession caused traffic congestion on the roads on Tuesday as the pole was being transported.
