Kathmandu, May 23
The body of an Indian climber who went missing on Everest on Monday morning has been found near the third and the fourth camp, an official said.
The man, Subash Pal along with two other compatriots and three other Sherpas had gone missing on the mountain on Monday morning. While the Sherpas have come in contact, the two Indian nationals are still missing, said Sudarshan Dhakal, Director at Tourism Department.
He said that the the Indian climbers had gone missing near the ‘Death Zone’ on the mountain. The body of Pal was found near the third and the fourth camps.
With the death, the number of people who lost their lives on Everest this season has reached three. on Friday, a Dutch climber and on Saturday an Aussie died while returning to base after a successful expedition.
