India-Pakistan tensions: IPL 2025 suspended

Kathmandu, May 9

The ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has been suspended amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the decision to halt the tournament following a spike in geopolitical strain between the two nations.

Earlier on Thursday, a match between Punjab and Delhi in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, was stopped midway. Players, team staff, and officials were then relocated to a secure location.
