
Kathmandu, January 5
Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa (Badal) has left for Beijing upon the invitation of China’s Public Security Ministry.
Thapa, who will be in China for six days, will meet the minister for public security, other officials of the ministry and leaders of the communist party, his office said. Thapa will also visit Shanghai and Lhasa during the trip. Thapa’s advisor Indrajit Rai, and home ministry spokesperson Kedar Nath Sharma are accompanying the minister on the trip.
