Hari Bansha Acharya begins planting in his ancestral village

Kathmandu

Actor Hari Bansha Acharya has begun planting trees in his ancestral home in Kavre, fulfilling a pledge he made during the filming of the movie Mahajatra to contribute to reducing carbon emissions.

A few days ago, Hari Bansha planted 50 timur saplings on land in Shankhu, located in Dhulikhel Ward 12, Kavre. He is now preparing to plant avocado saplings there.

“I planted timur because its thorny branches can also serve as a natural fence. It is also a cash crop,” Hari Bansha said.

He had previously pledged to plant a total of 200 saplings at the site.

The producers of Mahajatra had earlier said that the film was shot as part of a carbon-neutral initiative. Since some carbon emissions were generated during filming, Hari Bansha committed to planting trees as part of the initiative.
