Kathmandu, February 1

The National Examinations Board has published results of the grade 12 examinations held across the country.

The board’s chairperson Chandra Mani Paudel says a board meeting held this morning announced the results. The results are available on websites of the board and Nepal Telecom, according to him.

The exams, postponed from March-April due to the Covid-19 crisis were held in November 2020 only.

Citing the pandemic, the board had introduced a whole new procedure to conduct these exams this year. As per the (Class 12) Student Evaluation, Examination Operation, Management, Documentation and Certification Working Procedure made public by the board, the 12th graders were partially evaluated on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the grade 11 last year. Likewise, internal evaluations by the schools had also been given significant weight.

Educationists, teachers, and students had mixed views on this new modality.
