Govt ‘doesn’t find’ researchers to work for its think tank

Kathmandu, November 23

The government’s think tank to study development issues, Policy Research Institute, says it has failed to recruit new researchers recently.

On October 17, the institute had published a vacancy announcement calling applications for six researchers and two co-researchers. However, the institute has republished the call for applications again saying it could not draw sufficient applications.

The applications have been called for a researcher to study each of development infrastructures and financial affairs, governance management and public service delivery, political and social affairs, science and technology, environment, and information and knowledge management sectors. Likewise, two co-researchers have been called to work in development infrastructures and financial affairs, and governance management and public service delivery sectors.

Interested ones, with a master’s degree in the relevant field, can submit applications before December 14.
