Kathmandu, December 11
Nepal’s government has ordered all VDC secretaries to return to their stations at the earliest.
This comes as reports said VDC secretaries are working from the comfort of the district headquarters, and locals are having to walk long distances to meet them for essential services.
The Ministry of General Administration has also directed the District Development Committees to send the secretaries to the work stations.
Last year, a ministry investigation had also found that the secretaries were not working from the villages they were assigned to.
