Laxman Rai of Nuwakot, who was critically injured during the Gen Z protest on September 8 and 9, has died.
Family members said Rai, a resident of Panchakanya Rural Municipality–2, passed away at midnight. His body has been taken to the Forensic Department of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for postmortem.
He had been undergoing treatment at the National Trauma Center.
Rai, who worked as a laborer in Balaju, Kathmandu, had remained unidentified in the ICU for two days after the incident.
He had sustained a gunshot wound to the back of his head and was in a coma during treatment.
