Four newly appointed Ministers sworn in at Shital Niwas

Kathmandu, December 12

Four newly appointed ministers took the oath of office and secrecy today at a ceremony held at the Office of the President in Shital Niwas. President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath to the new cabinet members.

Those sworn in include Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Kumar Singh Ingnam; Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Rajendra Singh Bhandari; Minister for Forests and Environment Madhav Chaulagain; and Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Shraddha Shrestha.

The ceremony was attended by Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal, as well as heads of constitutional bodies and senior government officials.

Earlier in the day, President Paudel formally appointed Ingnam, Bhandari, Chaulagain, and Shrestha as ministers on the recommendation of Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

With their induction, the size of the current cabinet has expanded to 14 members. The government formed in the aftermath of the Gen-Z Movement of September 8 and 9 has now undergone three prior expansions on September 15, September 22, and October 26.
