Kathmandu, June 21
At least four people have died and several others injured after a jeep fell off the road in Dhading on Friday afternoon.
The jeep (Ba 18 Cha 9408) heading to Baireni from Karkigaun fell off 20 m off the road in Bhajgaun in Galchi Rural Municipality.
Inspector Hemraj Ghimire said that the passengers on board were all farmers who ferrying vegetables to nearby areas. Ghimire informed that 10 others were injured in the accident and that they are being attended to at various hospitals in Galchi and Dharke.
“Those who are critical have been taken to Kathmandu,” Ghimire informed.
Police are yet to identify the dead and injured passengers. Preliminary investigation suggests that the driver lost control of the vehicle on a stretch of narrow, gravelled road.
