Five people, including four students, were killed when a bus carrying students from Majhthan towards Kalika in Pokhara Metropolitan City-28 crashed on Friday.
Kaski District Police Chief SP Nabin Karki confirmed that 19 people were injured in the accident, five of whom later died.
The bus plunged around 200 metres down a slope at a place known as Okhle Bhir, according to police.
The four students killed in the crash were studying in grades 9 and 10, police said. The fifth victim was a member of the public.
The injured were taken to the Western Regional Hospital under Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences for treatment.
Police said a team had reached the hospital to collect details about the incident. Further information about the cause of the accident and the identities of the victims was not immediately available.
