First Session of the Global Talk Series concluded

Kathmandu, March 25

The inaugural session of the Global Talk Series was conducted on March 23 in Kathmandu. The event was titled, Tech Roots: Nurturing Sustainable Agriculture through Digital Solutions in the context of South Asia.

The event was organised by the Global Shapers Kathmandu Hub which was supported by the Green Resilient Agricultural Productive Ecosystems (GRAPE) project, a project jointly funded by the European Union in Nepal, the Government of Finland, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ Nepal.

The session discussed the overlap between agriculture, technology and sustainability. It featured esteemed speakers in the field from national and international domains.

The two speakers for the session were Sachin Hegdekudgi, Founder and Director of RootsGoods from India and Suman Ghimire, Founder and CEO of PlantSat from Nepal.

“All the farmers in the world should be rich so they can help change policies and contribute to positive climate initiatives,” said Hegdekudgi.
