Bhaktapur, April 18
Anxiety spread among locals at Tilagaun of Sirutar in Suryabinayak Municipality-1 of Bhaktapur district as a fire plume appeared at a deep water boring site.
The plume emerged at around 10:30 am today and is yet to be taken under control.
Three fire engines from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur are being used to douse the inferno using water and chemicals.
Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals are helping the personnel put out the flames.
According to local Sashijung Thapa, such unexpected occurrence has posed a threat to other houses nearby.
The plume had emerged as the deep boring machine had reached around 180 feet down the surface.
