Fanindra Nepal, two others held while trying to hand over 3-point memorandum to India’s CoAS

Kathmandu, November 13

Police on Sunday arrested three Nepalis while they were heading to the Indian Embassy in Lainchaur for handing over a three-point memorandum to Dalbir Singh, Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, who is currently on a visit to Nepal.

The arrestees are Fanindra Nepal,  Akash Chand and NK Raut of the Greater Nepal Campaign. They are currently in the custody of Sorhakhutte police office.

The trio had tried to hand over a memorandum with three points to India’s CoAS Dalbir Singh: Withdrawal of the Indian Army from Kalapani, Nepal’s right to bring home the bodies of Gorkhali soldiers if they die in India and ban on use of Gorkhali soldiers in wars against neighbours, including Pakistan

Nepal told Onlinekhabar: We had tried to hand over a memorandum that had three points: Withdrawal of the Indian Army from Kalapani, Nepal’s right to bring home the bodies of Gorkhali soldiers if they die in India and ban on the use of Gorkhali soldiers in wars against neighbours, including Pakistan.

Nepal had also got arrested for showing black flag against India’s President Pranab Mukherjee on his recent visit to Nepal.
