An EV catches on fire in Budhanilkantha

Kathmandu, January 3

An electric vehicle caught on fire while it was being charged.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, an MG car in Budhanilkantha caught on fire around 1 am on Wednesday.

The police said the car owner, Sudeep Lamichhane, called stating his car had caught on fire as it was being charged.

By the time the police got there and extinguished the fire, the car had been destroyed.

Lamichhane, the owner of the vehicle, mentioned that the incident occurred at 1 am. He said he put the car on charge around 6 pm on Tuesday.

He has declined to provide further details or comments on the matter.
