Malangwa, December 13
An elderly woman was beaten to death over a land dispute at Chakraghatta rural municipality in Sarlahi district on Monday.
Sagar Devi Ray, 70, from Belhi of Chakraghatta-2 died after she was beaten by her neighbour over a land dispute, according to SP Prabin Pokhrel.
The victim’s daughter Sikiliya Devi Yadav blamed the family members of neighbour Pukar Ray beat up her mother to death.
The dead body has been kept at Provincial Hospital, Malangwa for postmortem.
Investigation into the case is underway, the police added.
