Kathmandu, March 23
Economist Keshav Acharya has passed away at the age of 72.
According to family sources, he died at 9:55 am today while undergoing treatment at Annapurna Neuro Hospital. Acharya had been admitted to the hospital after suffering a stroke.
His final rites will be performed on Tuesday, family members said. He is survived by his wife, one son, and one daughter.
Acharya, who also served as an Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, had in recent years been actively engaged in discussions and advocacy for financial discipline and overall economic good governance in the country.
