Kathmandu, March 21
Medical education reform activist Dr Govinda KC on Thursday has demanded that the government appoint new officials at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
He says the government should appoint the people whom the conflict victims’ families can trust, not the ones who have political affiliations.
Likewise, they should be qualified and capable of dealing with the issues, according to him.
He also demanded that the culprits of gross human rights violation cases of the conflict era should be punished as per the international law.
Dr KC organised a press conference in Kathmandu today and made his seven demands public.
