Kathmandu, April 7
Nepali Congress senior leader Ramchandra Paudel has backed DPM Bimalendra Nidhi in the tussle between him and the RPP leader and Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa.
Speaking at the party’s central working committee, Paudel said that the Nepali Congress should not relinquish its claim for the senior-most Deputy Prime Minister. “Ramchandra dai has spoken out on the issue, he has said Congress should get the position,” an NC leader present at the meeting told Onlinekhabar.
Most of the leaders in the committee remained silent on the issue while Nidhi said he will resign if Kamal Thapa is recognised as the senior-most Deputy Prime Minister.
