Janakpurdham, May 1
A group of alleged alcohol smugglers robbed police personnel of a pistol and a magazine in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The incident took place when a team led by ASI Pramod Kuma Sah had a clash with the smugglers heading to India in Mukhiyapatti Musaharniya Rural Municipality of Dhanusha district.
Sah was carrying the pistol and its magazine in his possession when the incident took place at around 2 am today.
Meanwhile, police launched a manhunt to find the suspects.
Alcohol consumption is banned in Bihar state of India which borders, Dhanusha district.
