Dhangadhi Premier League kicks off

Dhangadhi, April 9

Dhangadhi Premier League, Nepal’s biggest cricket tournament in terms of prize money, kicks off in the ‘Capital of Cricket’ on Sunday.

Players, officials and coaches from around the country are gathering in the Far-western city where the tournament is being played at the Regional Police ground.

Temporary structures have been built around the ground to accommodate more than 3,000 spectators. Six teams representing major cities of Nepal are participating in the tournament. CYC Attariya, Chauraha of Dhangadi, Kanchanpur Iconic are the three teams from the Far West Region. The other teams include Kathmandu Goldens, Rupandehi Challengers and Biratnagar Kings.

Winners get a cash prize of Rs 1.5 million, runners-up get Rs 700,000.
