A temporary police staffer who was injured during an explosion in Tulsipur of Dang district on Tuesday died during treatment on Wednesday.
Binod Chaudhary, a permanent resident of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-18, breathed his last in the wee hours today while undergoing treatment at the Kohalpur Medical College in Banke, according to Chief of the Dang District Police Office, Durga Singh.
Chaudhary was recruited as a temporary policeman for the polls security.
Critically injured three others have been admitted to the same health facility. Other five are undergoing treatment at the Rapti Zonal Hospital.
Nine persons had sustained injuries in the blast near an event venue of Nepali Congress yesterday. Prime Minister and Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba was scheduled to address the function.
