Cricket fever consumes the country as Nepal takes on India in Asia Cup

Cricket fever has engulfed the country as Nepal are taking on India in the Asia Cup.

Local governments have announced holidays while some have even announced cash prizes for various milestones achieved by cricketers.

Kanchanpur’s Shuklaphanta municipality has announced to give cash prizes to the Nepali cricket players who perform well against India. The municipality has decided to give players who score a century and take four wickets with a cash prize of Rs 100,000.

The chair of Janakandani rural municipality of Dhanusha has announced to give Rs 50,000 if a batter scores a half-century against India, Rs 100,000 if ​​a batter scores a century and Rs 50,000 if a bowler takes a hat trick.

Similarly, some individuals and organisations have also announced that they will reward the best performers with a cash prize.

Along with that Birgunj metropolitan city and Janakpur sub-metropolitan city asked schools to end classes at 2 pm so children to witness history being made.
