Leaders of three major political parties are meeting in the capital today to discuss the government’s preparation to amend the constitution to address the demands of the Madhesh-based parties.
According to the Prime Minister’s personal secretariat, Prachanda will hold talks with top leaders of the political parties at his residence in Baluwatar at 5 pm today.
The meeting will the second time in three days that the leaders are meeting to discuss the amendment. This comes just a day after the principal opposition party UML objected to the government’s preparation to amend the constitution without presenting a logical justification for doing so.
