Kathmandu, November 22

The chief of Nepali Congress Central Election Mobilisation Committee, Bal Krishna Khand, says the leftist alliance will not let any election happen for next 50 years if it wins upcoming provincial and federal parliamentary polls.

Khand says statements of CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal that they will rule for next 50 years suggest the same.

Whereas the elections should be held at an interval of five years regularly, they have expressed desire to rule for 50 years and the Congress has noted it seriously, according to him.

Khand was speaking with intellectuals loyal to the party at a function in Kathmandu today.
