India’s Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced a new protest movement. CJP founder Abhijit Dipke announced the move on Monday.
In a poster shared on X, Dipke said the CJP would stage a “Jail Bharo Andolan” (fill the jails movement) at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on October 2.
Through his post, Dipke reiterated the party’s demand for the resignation of India’s Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The CJP had previously announced that it would launch the protest from October 2 if Kumar did not resign from his post.
However, the CJP has not been granted permission to stage the protest in Mumbai.
Responding to the denial, Dipke said attempts to suppress the voice of the people would not be acceptable.
