Secessionist movement leader CK Raut continues sloganeering for an independent Madhesh, and the government is not doing anything about it, says the Nepali Congress
The Nepali Congress parliamentary party, in a statement on Monday, said that both Raut and the government should make up their mind on the 11-point agreement they signed on Friday. “Should be believe what the Home Minister says or should we believe what CK Raut says?” the party’s Chief Whip Balkrishna Khand told onlinekhabar. “Both the government and CK Raut need to come clean on the agreement,” he added.
The statement comes a day after Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa faced a barrage of questions in Parliament regarding the deal. Thapa said that the government had not agreed to a referendum in Madhesh.
