Kathmandu, September 3
Chumbak, a rock band from eastern Nepal, released its new song Judhera on Sunday on its official YouTube channel. The song is the first single from their upcoming album Sapana Vayo Mahango, whose official release date has not yet been confirmed.
According to the band’s manager, Yodin Limbu, four of the album’s songs are currently in the mixing stage.
On July 19 the band did their first live show with a new line-up at Moksh, Lalitpur. While the original members—vocalist Gongba Spikes and guitarists Lav Sherpa and Sahil Sen—remain with the band, the new lineup features Bibek Tamang on bass and Sanjaya Shrestha on drums.
Earlier, the band has already launched two EPs – Bageko Bagey in 2022 and Chumbak in 2023.
