Dhangadi, December 21
A child died when a tipper hit an auto-rickshaw in Kailali.
DSP Bed Prakash Joshi said that 4-year-old Bharat Thakulla died when a tipper rammed into an auto-rickshaw at Lalpur in Godawari municipality under East-West Highway on Wednesday morning.
Thakulla was rushed to Seti Zonal Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.
Thakulla’s mother was injured in the accident and is currently being treated at Padma Hospital. Auto rickshaw driver Mohan Bohara, 28, also sustained minor injuries.
The police have arrested the tipper driver, Pradip Chaudhary, 42.
In protest of the incident, the locals have obstructed the East-West highway.
