CG Hospitality Global, the hospitality arm of Nepal’s CG Corp Global, has partnered with Marriott International to launch Series by Marriott, a new midscale and upscale collection brand. The landmark collaboration integrates India’s eco-sensitive hotel chain The Fern—including The Fern, The Fern Residency, and The Fern Habitat—into Marriott’s global network.

According to a press statement released by CG, with over 120 operating hotels and 40 more in the pipeline under Concept Hospitality (CHPL), the deal could add up to 84 Fern-branded hotels and around 6,000 rooms to Marriott’s India portfolio. The agreement also includes Marriott’s strategic equity investment in CHPL and a long-term co-branding partnership.

“This is a defining moment for The Fern and Indian hospitality,” stated Rahul Chaudhary, CEO of CG Hospitality. “We aim for 500 Fern hotels by 2030 and a global footprint of 650 properties.”

Fern hotels will now access Marriott’s extensive platforms and the 237-million-member Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program while maintaining their regional identity.

The announcement also highlights CG Hospitality’s expansion in Nepal, with projects like Miraaya Wellness Resort in Dhulikhel, Meghauli Serai in Chitwan, and the upcoming Unnati Cultural Village, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable and culturally rooted hospitality across Asia.
