Jumla, December 26
Police have seized a cache of arms and ammunition from a jungle in Dhadkharka, Garjyangkot-8, Jumla district. Bedan Raj Thapa (24) of Thamwada, Garjyangkot-8, had allegedly hidden the arms in the forest.
The seized weapons include two SLRs and 27 bullets, two magazines, two automatic pistols, two revolvers and five bullets, two countrymade pistols and seven detonators.
Police seized those weapons while interrogating Thapa and other fugitives, including those suspected of involvement in the November 26 theft of idols from the Chandan Nath Temple in Jumla. Further probes are underway, police said.
