The government on Thursday endorsed the work procedure for Kathmandu-Nijgadh fast track.
The Nepal Army is constructing the ambitious project with a target to complete it in next four years.
Minister for Finance Gyanendra Bahadur Karki says the work procedure ensures timely completion of the national pride project.
The foundation stone for fast track was laid by the then Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal last month.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet meeting also decided to receive an assistance of USD 150 million from the Asian Development Bank. A task force has been formed to define areas to utilise the assistance.
Likewise, the Cabinet today appointed Dr Kiran Regmi to the vacant position of Ministry of Health Secretary.
The meeting also appointed judge Baburam Regmi as a member of the Special Court.
