Kathmandu, May 30
The British government has announced that it will send its new ambassador to Nepal in November this year.
The British government says it will transfer incumbent ambassador Richard Morris to a new workplace and Nicola Pollitt will replace him in Kathmandu.
Pollitt joined the British foreign service in 2003. She is currently working at Additional Director, Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London.
The Kathmandu assignment, however, will be the first ambassadorial stint for her. It will be her second stay in Asia as she was the head of British Political Team in Kabul from 2010 to 2011.
