The BFA Exhibition 2026, titled Synthesis, is currently underway at Nepal Art Council, Babermahal, showcasing the graduation works of Bachelor of Fine Arts students from the Batch of 2077 BS. The exhibition runs from January 1 to January 5, 2026, and is open to the public on the ground and first floors of the gallery.
Synthesis presents the culmination of four years of sustained artistic practice by graduating students, reflecting their individual inquiries as well as shared academic and creative experiences. The exhibition offers insight into the evolving artistic journeys of the students, highlighting how their ideas, processes, and expressions have developed over time.
Conceptualised as a collaborative effort, the exhibition brings together diverse practices, materials, and perspectives within a unified curatorial framework. While each work reflects a distinct personal exploration, the collective presentation emphasises dialogue and interaction among the artworks, creating a cohesive visual and conceptual narrative.
The title Synthesis underscores the integration of varied artistic approaches into a shared space, acknowledging diversity while fostering collective meaning. Moving beyond the academic context, the exhibition seeks to engage the wider art community and general audience, encouraging reflection, exchange, and connection.
Featuring works by 36 graduating artists, the exhibition contributes to ongoing conversations within contemporary art practices in Nepal.
The BFA Exhibition 2026 stands as both a milestone for the emerging artists and a platform for public engagement with new creative voices.
