Dhangadhi, November 22
Six persons died in a road accident in the Baitadi district of far-western Nepal on Sunday.
Five persons died on the spot when an SUV (Ma 1 Ja 310) carrying wedding attendants fell off the road at Kaluwad Mode along the Gothalpani-Jhulaghat section of the Dasharath Chand Highway at around 8:30 pm yesterday, according to police. One more person succumbed to injuries while being taken to Dhangadhi for treatment, taking the toll to six.
The vehicle was going to Sera from Thalalgaun of the Dasharath Chand municipality.
The vehicle, carrying seven people, had fallen around 500 metres down the road. The remaining passenger is critically injured and undergoing treatment.
