Bagmati Small River Hydro construction completed

Kathmandu, March 6

The Bagmati Small Hydropower Project in Makwanpur will start its test production from March 17. The Rs 4 billion project has started its test production and will produce 22 MW electricity when it becomes fully functional.

NEA spokesperson Prawal Adhikari informed that the hydropower project will be connected to the national grid in around 15 days. Mandu Hydropower Company, the developer of the project, says that it has scheduled to connect the power station to the national grid by the end of March.

The construction of the project started in 2016.
