Kathmandu, November 2
Nine individuals, including Suleman Shankar Iku, Gajit Bista, Gambhir Bista, Shankar Acharya, and Chakra Bam, who were arrested on charges of participating in gambling, have been released on bail of Rs 15,000 each.
Following an order from the District Administration Office, they were granted bail on Wednesday evening as per SP and District Police spokesperson Kumodh Dhungel.
The arrests took place after the District Police apprehended them during their involvement in juvenile athletics at the dance training centre in Maitidevi, where Gajit is known to operate. The dance centre is run by Gajit’s brother.
After their release, Suleman Shankar Iku claimed that he was also detained when he had gone to discuss the video with Gajit’s brother, denying any wrongdoing.
