Kathmandu, September 25
A defendant in a banking offence case involving embezzlement of Rs 84.2 million has been arrested.
The person arrested is 48-year-old Sher Bahadur Magar of Champadevi Rural Municipality-3, Okhaldhunga. He was arrested by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office.
Patan High Court had earlier sentenced Magar in 12 banking offence cases to 2 years and 14 days in prison, along with a fine of Rs 6,210,100, in addition to requiring him to repay the embezzled amount.
