Kailali, November 29
In a tragic incident in Kailali, Mohan Adhikari, a 26-year-old resident of Ghodaghodi Municipality-2, lost his life after a severe beating.
Adhikari was attending a relative’s wedding in Ghoraghat of Lamkichuha Municipality-9 when he became a victim of the brutal assault on Tuesday night, claimed police.
The police have apprehended seven individuals suspected of involvement in the assault.
Among those arrested are Bibek Bhul from Lamkichuha Municipality-9 Ghoraghat, along with Bishal Bhul, Ganesh Bhul, Santosh Pariyar, Pintu Chaudhary, Dil Bahadur Chaudhary, and Puran Saraki of Lamkichuha.
Reports from the authorities suggest that Mohan suffered severe injuries in the assault and was immediately rushed to Lal Ratna Hospital and referred to Tikapur Hospital in Kailali.
During the treatment, Adhikari succumbed to his injuries.
The police say a thorough investigation is underway.
