The All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) has continued its Humanitarian Assistance Campaign to support citizens affected by floods and landslides. As part of the campaign, ANNFSU reached several disaster-affected areas of Rasuwa, distributing relief materials to affected families and handing over essential supplies to local authorities.
A team led by ANNFSU Central President Mahesh Shrestha reached Naukunda Rural Municipality–4, where relief materials were distributed door-to-door to 26 flood-affected families in the presence of Ward Chairperson Nokendra Tamang.
Similarly, in the severely affected Betravati area of Uttargaya Rural Municipality, ANNFSU handed over essential relief supplies to Rural Municipality Chairperson Madhav Aryal and Ward No. 5 Chairperson Yamanath Acharya.
The relief materials included food supplies, medicines, clothing, solar-powered equipment, lights, flashlights, kitchen utensils, and sanitation supplies, among other essential items.
According to ANNFSU, the campaign aims to provide immediate assistance to citizens affected by the disaster and stand in solidarity with families facing difficulties in the aftermath of the floods and landslides.
ANNFSU Vice President Ashok Thapa said that the humanitarian assistance campaign is not limited to the distribution of relief materials but represents the organization’s commitment to solidarity, responsibility, and humanity toward citizens affected by natural disasters.
“ANNFSU will continue the humanitarian campaign in the coming days and provide necessary support to disaster-affected communities to the best of its capacity,” Thapa said.
He also expressed gratitude to all individuals, well-wishers, and supporters who have contributed to the humanitarian initiative, reaffirming ANNFSU’s commitment to continuing its service and assistance to communities affected by natural disasters.
