Amber Gurung in Hospital: Prime Minister Oli takes stock of his health

Kathmandu, June 5

Prime Minister KP Oli on Sunday visited Grande Hospital, where Amber Gurung, the composer of Nepal’s national anthem is receiving treatment.

According to hospital sources, the Prime minister talked to Gurung’s family members and conferred with doctors tending to the musician about his health.

Earlier in the day, Information Minister Sherdhan Rai and UML leader Pradeep Gywali had also visited Grande.

Gurung was admitted to the hospital on Monday night following problems with his food canal. The hospital’s Director Dr Chakra Raj Pandey said the veteran composer has been diagnosed woth UIG bleeding, pneumonia, high blood pressure, and diabetes among others.

According to the hospital’s Gurung’s condition is stable but still critical.
