Kathmandu, May 15
As a part of corporate social responsibility and community engagement, Aloft Kathmandu Thamel has initiated a program to feed street dogs in partnership with Oxsa Nepal. The feeding program was carried out at UN Park in Lalitpur and the Teku Dumping Ground, with participation from the hotel’s associates.
“Aligned with Marriott International’s core value “Serve Our World”, the initiative reflects Aloft Kathmandu Thamel’s belief in giving back to the broader community—extending care and support beyond people to include the welfare of animals,” reads the release of Alof Kathmanndu Thamle.
Fresh, nutritious meals were prepared by the hotel and distributed by associate volunteers, providing essential nourishment to vulnerable street dogs in these high-need areas.
Vikram Singh, General Manager of Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, said, “This initiative forms a key part of our CSR strategy, which prioritizes inclusive and community driven action. Supporting animal welfare is a meaningful way to strengthen our connection with the communities we serve. Our team is proud to contribute to a more compassionate society, in line with Marriott’s global value of ‘Serve Our World.’”
