Kathmandu, April 19
Police have detained more than half a dozen RPP leaders planning to torch a banner that said ‘secularism’ in central Kathmandu on Friday.
The incident comes days after the Kamal Thapa-led party announced a series of protests demanding the restoration of Hindu state.
The party said it managed to torch the banner despite police intervention.
