Kathmandu, March 15
Nepal have announced their squad for the ACC Emerging Teams Cup, which is to be played in Bangladesh from March 25-April 4.
A selection committee comprising ICC development officer Venkatpathi Raju, coach Jagat Tamatta, Captial Paras Khadka and series captain Gyanendra Malla has selected 15 players, including four reserve players for the tournament.
Nepal team regulars Shakti Gauchan, Basant Regmi and pacer Sompal Kami have been rested. Similarly, captain Paras Khadka, who is recuperating from a surgery, is also not in the squad.
Team: Gyanendra Malla, Sarad Veshawker, Binod Bhandari, Sagar Pun, Arif Sheikh, Mahaboob Alam, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sandeep Lamichhane, Asif Sheikh, Avinash Karn, Sunil Dhamala, Bhuwan Karki, Sushan Bhari, Dipesh Shrestha, and Dilip Nath are members of the squad.
Reserves: Kushal Bhurtel, Jitendra Kumar Mukhiya, Rajesh Pulami Magar and Sushil Kandel
Nepal have been pitted in Group B with Pakistan U-23, Bangladesh U-23 and Hong Kong.
